The
pantomime, "Peter Pan", broke all box office records at the
Westcliff Theatre in Southend in December 2000. Shane appeared as the
villain, Hook. It turned out, incidentally, that he was a 'very nice
man'.
In the summer of 2000, Shane toured with his own one-man show. Some
30 dates were put on all over the UK. A mix of comedy and song demostrated
Shane's versatility to those who were only familiar with the tv game
show host.
In
"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" in 2007, Shane reprised
the role of Randle P McMurphy, made famous by Jack Nicholson.

"....But at the very heart and soul of
this production is Richie, who pours himself into his roles with complete
abandon and triumphs. This is a wonderful evening's entertainment."
